Unlike other downloaders out there, FlashLynx actually allows you to preview videos before you download them. When you double-click on a video, a window pops-up to show you the video. Personally, I couldn't get any video to preview, but I take it there was a codec problem involved, because the window did pop-up and flash got active.
Of course, other than using the predefined list of videos, you can either paste your video URLs into the GUI or use a Search function. The search is rather basic, and you can't really specify how to perform it. There is also a scheduler, which allows you to download videos at a certain time. There are many output formats for your videos, including three profiles for gaming consoles and portable devices. There are also encoding options that you can change to modify your video's quality. The version that you download off the developer's website does not seem to have any functionality or time limitations, but you can purchase it for $29. Personally, if I had a use for it, I would.
